Jenaae Jackson is a Jamaican beauty queen and model. She was crowned as Miss Earth Jamaica 2009 in August 2009.[1] She is the third representative of Jamaica to the international pageant, Miss Earth, since it started in 2001. She was crowned by Miss Earth Jamaica 2008, Simone Burke. Jackson represented Jamaica in the Miss Earth 2009.[2][3]

Biography

Early age

Jenaae Jackson was born on June 1, 1990 in Kingston, Jamaica. She studied at Williams Prep and Dunrobin Primary School, both in Jamaica, before her family went to reside in Florida.[1] Even then, she would go home to Jamaica every summer and whenever she has the chance. As an only child in a single parent home, she had to learn how to be independent and self sufficient from an early age.[2][3]

Present time

Jackson is an entrepreneur and co-owner of Executive Travel & Communication Inc. a virtual communication company.[1] The Going Green initiative is one of her projects, which promotes environmental awareness to the community.[2][3]

Miss Caribbean pageant

In December 2005, Jackson represented Jamaica in the Miss Teen Florida Caribbean pageant, where she won the title. In 2007, she traveled to the British Virgin Islands to compete in the Miss Caribbean World pageant. Later that year she entered Caribbean Model Search in Kingston, Jamaica. She has modeled for designers such as Heatherette's Richie Rich and companies, JC Penny, as well as various designers.[1][2][3]

Miss Earth 2009

On August 28, 2009, Jackson was crowned Miss Earth Jamaica 2009. She rrepresented Jamaica in the 9th edition of the Miss Earth beauty pageant in the Philippines.[1][2][3] The Miss Earth winner serves as the spokesperson for the Miss Earth Foundation, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and other environmental organizations. It is one of the three largest international beauty pageant in the world in terms of the number of national-level competitions which take place to select participants in the international finals.[4][5][6]
